KIRK is honoured to have our award-winning design for The West End House featured in Thames & Hudson's recently published book, The New Queensland House by Cameron Bruhn and Katelin Butler. The book showcases 28 of Queensland's most innovative architecturally designed residences. The New Queensland House will be available for purchase in hardback on July 26th, 2022.

The West End House occupies a rare fragment of previously undeveloped land in the historically dense inner-city suburb. Located on a tight site, the residence 144 sq. meters, fully maximising light and ventilation while nestling smartly into the existing streetscape. Constructed largely of recycled structural timber joists, the home seeks to feel open whilst balancing the privacy of interior spaces.
