ARRC Waste to Energy Project to progress to next phase
KIRK Studio is excited to see the ARRC Gold Coast residual waste-to-energy project progress into its next phase, with the City of Gold Coast launching the international Expression of Interest campaign.
ARRC is a landmark initiative, setting a new benchmark for the repurposing of residual waste into energy and supporting long‑term sustainability outcomes for the Gold Coast and the wider region. KIRK Studio is proud to be contributing to a project that demonstrates how complex infrastructure can deliver environmental, social and community value.
The proposed facility will transform non-recyclable municipal and commercial waste into a valuable energy resource, with anticipated capacity to power up to 80,000 homes. Beyond its technical ambition, the project is about embedding sustainable infrastructure within a purpose-planned industrial precinct, supporting long-term environmental performance and economic resilience across the Gold Coast and broader Southeast Queensland region.
KIRK Studio has been excited to be part of the journey and congratulate all involved in reaching this significant milestone.
